Still fun at 32 years old

That I studied architecture in college can be directly attributed to my love for Legos as a kid. Now that I'm 32 and can afford things, I've rediscovered my favorite childhood toy. I asked my wife for Legos for Christmas and she came through with this magnificent set. It's Christmas night and I'm already done. The design and detail are better than ever. Following the instructions and building it are just as much fun as I remember. Now I need to go to the storage area under the stairs and drag out my giant box of Legos that have lied dormant for 20 years and start building the rest of the town.
Basically, Legos are great for kids and they promote imagination. A lot of the architecture students I've talked to through the years were also avid Lego builders. In addition to learning how to follow a set of instructions, they also promote visualization and imagination and both are extremely important elements of any engineering or design career. So if you're looking for something safe and fun for your child that might just start them down a road toward a very fulfilling career, you just can't go wrong with Legos. |

| This was purchased as a gift. The nice thing is that it makes several different houses, not just one. This was more reasonably priced than locally, and much much cheaper than eBay. Very good purchase. |
